LEARNING TO CREATE VIDEO CONTENT WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE IS THE FUTURE - STARTING NOW - GO!
More than ever, video is essential to growing your business and bringing attention to what you are building. Every industry, business or big idea, uses the media to inform, communicate and inspire - I have been lucky to participate in many projects that require filming, editing and producing video projects (film, television, news & reality tv).
The smartphone has given many of my clients the ability to leverage the power of video marketing. Armed with a smartphone and a few camera phone accessories, business owners/entrepreneurs/artists are now the media producers with a media department of one or two people producing short form marketing content that they can share on Facebook, instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.
It's going to be less about posting text messages and photos on social media, video (recorded or live) will be the first strategy to get your message, demonstration and video communication to your community.
Video will become the number one lead magnet, sales funnel, digital foot print that leads to the company website, social network and ecommerce platform. Crafting stories, documenting and "show and tell" is the best approach to showcasing ideas, business, products, services on video, but being consistent (shooting daily or weekly) is the key to success with video marketing.
Take imperfect action, make a bunch of bad videos (hundreds - trust me you will get better with each video you produce) and your return on investing time into making videos will produce growth in your business (even the poorly crafted videos are sometimes more effective than the polished videos).
Yes, you can hire a video producer or videographer create content for you at a reasonable price. I would recommend a combination of professionally produced videos and in-house smartphone videos to keep within a modest budget. Video production can be very expensive, depending on the type of videos you want to produce for your brand or company.
Outside of producing videos, more brick and mortar businesses are becoming aware that online e-commerce is where they have to be in order to survive. I recommend doing your research and get some training or attend workshops. You have to get the training and insider strategies that work in today's market to transform your offline business into a successful e-commerce business.
